apocalyptic thought
I was sitting at work, thinking for a long time about how to solve one such matter, but my thoughts took me somewhere completely in another direction. I decided to share them with my imaginary friend.
We spend our whole lives trying to learn as much as possible, to understand, until we finally find out that we are nothing. Then there is an opportunity to calm down. And this is a success, because most of them toil until death, believing that they haven't done something very important yet.
Imagine, one day those bodies will fall from us and only perception will remain - the one that sometimes visits you when you pray, and you call it God's touch. The flood of absolute understanding, the shower of purest truth, and the rising sense of infinity will only intensify until, in a cosmic orgasm, the remnants of our consciousness explode and return home to an impersonal undistributed database. :))) Or, if it's short, we'll totally melt in love.
My fantasy friend answers me:
- People still do something good by plowing. They have the desire and the power to do something.
- But yes, they have to remember that there is nobody after all. And everything is just a gift. Nothing here belongs to them. Or only for a very short time. Like sand in a handful.
- That the period for which this opportunity is leased will end, - I add to her.
- You say, - I continue, - if you have the desire and the power to do something?
The thing is, it seems that now there are endless means: how to suppress our desires or replace them with useful prostheses, or even raise whole generations who will be ashamed of their desires and proud of the goals imposed by corporations; how it is possible to create a whole system of the food industry, which will use all the energy of desires for the digestion of specially created, indigestible, but tasty food; how to distort the idea of learning and teaching in such a way that the new generation there will learn not to think, but to memorize and repeat the same thing over the same thing, from a young age they will learn to do what they hate and get marks for it that do not exist anywhere in nature and an advantage over other papers. Influenced by all this, after graduating from school, you no longer understand why your heart beats, but instead you have acquired an inexplicable hunger to accumulate points that make society feel good about you.
- Is what I'm saying called nihilism? When everything is drawn so bleakly? - I check with my friend.
- But there is truth in that!
- There is truth?!!! - I am surprised with artificially enhanced surprise.
- Everything is true here! - after giving in to the impulse of emotions, I continue. "How dare you doubt it?" 🙂 Everything here is based on my long-term research analyses. Only, inspired by you, poetically expressed. Write it all down for future generations in your yearbook, where you store my silver and crystal thoughts. 😉 When you retire, it will be fun to turn the night before about how we knew everything a long time ago, predicted everything, but like the apples that are still hanging on the tree, we continued to hang on.
The friend laughs. I could still picture her cheerful smile before getting back to business.
